About the author:

I had a lifelong inquisitiveness about the purpose and meaning of life. During my early life, my ability to perceive, among which, my visual perceptional ability especially amazed me the most. I wondered about the point in this perceptional ability that is bound with one’s life, having no recollection of times before developing my senses, chances are, no perceptional ability will remain ones the senses cease to exist. Meanwhile, we live our lives with utmost optimism, disregarding the unavoidable death, as if this life is for granted. We come to this world, procreate and then disappear into oblivion like our tens of thousands of ancestors. Where did we come from? How did we get here collectively as a species?

I had been interested in Astronomy almost my entire life. I had made an attempt to get myself educated taking graduate level courses. However, for the higher level of Astronomy, a higher level of mathematics is a prerequisite that I had not mastered. I had pursued my Bachelor’s Degree out of all subject areas, in Dentistry. Clinical practice of Dentistry can be lucrative. However, that did not appeal to me, as I found it not to be intellectually stimulating enough. Having passed the American National Dental Board Exam in 1995, I had a change of heart. I decided to continue my education in areas of my own interest. First, I had delved into Genetics. That education made me realize how all lives are connected at the fundamental level. However, I still could not find a plausible concept in gathering an understanding of this life. Afterward, I realized my ultimate interest as I got the opportunity to pursue Neurology. I have taken graduate level courses from several different universities and pursued research work that consumed seven years of my life in a breeze. Ultimately, I was able to write a book about the human brain that explains the Neurological basis of the fundamental aspects of our lives, which happens to be my first published book that I have linked to this site.

That was when I had watched the lecture of late Professor Randy Pauch on UTube that made me recall the question I had in my childhood. I thought it was about time, I address the fundamental question of where did we come from and how did we get here. Four years of my research and writing efforts have taken shape of the book ‘Natural and Scientific Basis of Homo sapiens’, for which I have built this website to serve those who might share my curiosity.
