The Book.
Plot, resources, and references:
The plot unfolds with major highlights of astronomical events along the arrow of time, based on gathering the findings of great minds and modern machines to ultimately settle on earth, where fossil records transcend into the evidence from bones, stones, and genes that allow us to dig into the distant past. After Homo sapiens had appeared, they had to wait until they had been jolted by adversity they had to face in the aftermath of Toba eruption, to experience their Cognitive Revolution, during which, they had developed fictive languages to talk about things that did not exist and that remains the hallmark of human experience all along. At this stage, Anthropology takes over to expound on the fundamentals of the social progression through the development of agriculture, religion, empire, capitalism, and science. Mythological basis of belief system dissipated much in the wake of philosophical approaches to life before being further dismantled by scientific advancement. Colonialism became characterized by exploitation, subjugation, and discrimination that culminated in slavery in New World. Elsewhere, apartheid, and ethnic cleansing resulted as a consequence of seeds planted by colonial powers earlier. Science transformed life to such extent that would be deemed no less than a fairytale mere decades ago, yet after various spontaneous, unplanned, named revolutions, humans find themselves shackled in a cold mechanistic workplace from which they beat a hasty retreat indoor to dive headlong into witnessing digital caricature to recuperate, a lifestyle that is far removed from which, their body had so beautifully evolved. Exponential properties of population growth have ushered the era of unprecedented human population, during which, humans remain unperturbed procreating plentiful hastening the time when future generations will require to consume the resources of two Earth-like planets for their sustenance. A dark shadow looms over the continuation of Homo sapiens unless they find a way to escape this planet.
Books and Journals have been referred extensively to gather the plot of this book. Pertinent listing has been included at the end of each chapter in the References section. Out of the journals, Nature, Science, Journal of Human Evolution and Evolutionary Anthropology deserve special mention. I have cataloged the books I have read my entire life. Of the books, I have included the name of the book, name of the author, publisher, and ISBN in all the References sections, where applicable.
I respectfully admire those professionals who have developed the wisdom to open-source their findings and that has enabled me to gather my thoughts in an informed manner. Among many, whose dedicated life in finding the truth has greatly facilitated my efforts, I predominantly admire Professor Lee Burger of Department of Paleoanthropology, University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, for his wisdom to open-source his discoveries and Dr. John Hawks, Department of Anthropology, the University of Wisconsin for his weblog. Anthropology Department of many other Universities also have open-sourced their contributions, however, that list is too long to be included in a way that can serve a purpose or meaning. I have accessed wherever I could find a scope to develop my understanding. That is when I transferred my understanding in my writing.
I have explored the science that drove our existence and the biology that enabled us to succeed. This book has been aimed at those who would choose the scientific explanations over preconceived bias, who have cultivated their minds to have its window open that can enable them to look beyond preconceived ideas based on prevailing cultural beliefs to absorb its contents, and certainly not those readers who are disbeliever of science.
Philosophy:
Belief equates to perceived truth. However, belief based on the indomitable power of imagination that cannot be mathematically corroborated can contribute to a delusional state of mind.
